Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinicians Required
Project: At the heart of the matter
Researchers undertaking this study are interested in learning more about the role of mental health in the recovery of heart disease. They are aiming to co-design a mental health intervention for patients following a heart event.
Who can take part?: Coronary healthcare professionals, academic experts, patients and caregivers from across Australia.
What is involved?: Participants will take part in a short set (two) of online co-design workshops exploring the role of mental health in the recovery of heart disease. You will receive a $100 e-gift card for each workshop ($200 in total if you attend both workshops).
CR clinicians and programs are asked to promote the study to their patients, by either providing patients with the flyer or displaying the flyer in patient-facing areas so people are able to scan the QR code.
You can download the flyer here: flyer and QR code
Where can I get more information?: Any further questions or enquiries, please contact Sarah Gauci by email: sarah.gauci@deakin.edu.au

Project: The Cardiac Emotions Study
Researchers undertaking the Cardiac Emotions Study are interested in learning more about the emotional difficulties involved in people living with cardiac conditions. This phase of the Cardiac Emotions Study is looking at the specific fears experienced by patients with a cardiac condition. With this knowledge, they will develop the Fear of Cardiac Recurrence or Progression Scale, a
comprehensive measure of future-related fears in cardiac patients which could be used to screen CR patients.
Who can take part?: Adults with experience of an acute coronary event (ACS, AMI), cardiac surgery or chronic cardiac condition.
What is involved?: Patients will be invited to take part in a 20-minute online questionnaire. Paper-based forms are also available if required.
CR clinicians and programs are asked to promote the study to their patients, by either providing patients with the flyer or displaying the flyer in patient-facing areas so people are able to scan the QR code.
