Registration is now open for the 2017 ACRA-Qld and Heart Foundation Annual Symposium to be held on Friday, the 20th October at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Doherty Street, Birtinya. This event will feature a mixture of invited speakers, clinical and research topics, and plenty of networking opportunities. We have tailored the program to cover a range of topics which will interest a broad cross-section of attendees, as well as showcase speakers and services local to the Sunshine Coast area. We hope to keep also “the patient story” central to all presentations.

- Surfing the waves of change: Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay CR showcase
- The latest evidence and guidelines in lifestyle and risk factor management
- Surfing the digital health waves: health innovation projects and programs
- The impending wave of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease in Qld
- Interactive Secondary Prevention and ACRA-Qld CR Think Tank session: discussion, collaboration and networking will be strongly encouraged
- Walk through of the newly opened Sunshine Coast University Hospital (booking required, numbers limited)
- An extended afternoon tea at the symposium close to enable networking with colleagues old and new
Come join us for what will be a fantastic educational opportunity. As in previous years we will also be offering the symposium via video-conference link (limited places) for those from interstate or outside the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast area who cannot attend in person.
